About Me
I’ve taught music to both children and adults for well over 10 years. I have played a variety of instruments (harp, bouzouki, flute, bagpipes and more) for close to 30. I’ve been a singer since before I can remember.
I believe that everyone has the right and ability to enjoy actively participating in music. In much the same way that we don’t expect people to be able to play the tuba the very first instant they pick it up, I don’t think we should judge people who can’t sing the very first time they try either. If anything is worth doing, it’s worth working at, and sometimes that means starting at the very beginning.
I specialise in working with adults who have been creatively crushed at an earlier age, and helping to bring their voices and musical abilities alive. If you can talk, you can sing – I promise! Very few people are completely tone deaf, and even those who are can learn music via other methods than do not prioritise ear training.
Whether you want to sing karaoke at your local pub, hum a lullaby to your grandchildren or audition for a musical, I can help you realise your dreams. Drop me an email, and let’s talk about getting you singing!
(I promise I’m not scary – a bit daft, but definitely not scary!)
